Requires Powercode build 26.10.05 or later.
The Revenue by Tower Location report shows what each of your towers brings in over time. For the date range you choose, it adds up the charges and credits on the accounts of the customers served from each network site, graphs the result per site, and lists the totals by day, month or year.
Use it to compare sites, to see how a site has grown, or to check the effect of an outage or upgrade at one site. Read How revenue is assigned to a site and Limitations before relying on the numbers: the report works out each customer's site from their equipment as it is set up today.
Click Reports in the menu to open the Report Dashboard, then click Tower Revenue under Financial Reports. The report opens as Revenue by Tower Location.
Towers are the network sites you maintain under Network > Network Location > Sites. See Network Locations Entry.
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Reports Dashboard (Reports → Dashboard) | To open the Report Dashboard. |
| Tower Revenue (Reports → Financial) | To see the tile and run the report. On upgrade it is given to the Administrator and Owner groups. Add it to any other group that needs the report. |
The graph and the table both update for the range, sites and breakdown you chose.
The graph shows Net Revenue over time, with one line per site. Its title names the breakdown, for example Net Revenue by Network (monthly).
The graph only shows Net Revenue. Total Debits and Total Credits are in the table.
The table has one row per site per period.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date | The period: a day such as 2026-10-05 for Daily, a month such as 2026-10 for Monthly, or a year such as 2026 for Yearly. |
| Network Location | The site. |
| Total Debits | Everything charged (debited) to the site's customers in the period. |
| Total Credits | Everything credited to the site's customers in the period. Powercode records payments as credits, so this includes payments as well as discounts, adjustments and other credits. |
| Net Revenue | Total Debits minus Total Credits. |
A row only appears for a site and period that had at least one debit or credit. If nothing matches, the table shows No Records Found. Click Download All (csv) to download the table.
Net Revenue is not income. Because payments count as credits, a period in which customers paid what they were charged shows a Net Revenue close to zero, and a period in which customers paid off older balances shows a negative one. To compare how much each site bills, look at Total Debits.
Powercode decides which site a customer belongs to from their equipment as it is set up today:
Customers who match neither rule are left out of the report. Every debit and credit on a customer's account in the period is then added to their site's totals for that period.
Parent devices are set through your network connections. See Complete Map – Updating Network Connections.
| Symptom | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| No Records Found, and the graph is empty | None of the customers at the selected sites had a debit or credit in the range, or none of your customers' equipment is linked to a site. Check that access points are assigned to a site, or that your IP address ranges have a Network Location. |
| A customer's revenue shows under the wrong site | The site comes from the customer's current equipment: the parent device's site, or failing that, the IP address range's Network Location. Correct the equipment's parent device or the device's site. |
| A customer's revenue is missing | Their equipment has no parent device at a site and no IP address range with a Network Location, or their equipment has been removed. |
| The site totals add up to more than your total revenue | At least one customer is linked to more than one site. |
| Net Revenue is negative | Payments and credits in the period were larger than the charges, for example because customers paid off older balances. |
| The Tower Revenue tile is missing | You do not have the Tower Revenue permission. |
