The Re-Activations column requires Powercode build 26.10.05 or later.
The Sales and Disconnects report shows your growth and churn one day at a time. For each day in the range you choose, it counts customers who were activated for the first time, customers who came back after being disconnected, customers who were disconnected, and how many install, service, disconnect and other jobs were started, completed and failed.
Use it to see whether a week or a month added customers or lost them, and how busy your technicians were while it happened.
Click Reports in the menu to open the Report Dashboard, then click Sales and Disconnects under Scheduling & Service Reports. You can also type the name into Search for a Report. The report page itself is titled Sales & Disconnects.
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Reports Dashboard (Reports → Dashboard) | To open the Report Dashboard. |
| Sales and Disconnects (Reports → Other) | To see the tile and open the report. |
| Export Report Data (Reports → Export) | Optional. Shows the Export Data button. |
The report shows one row per day, from the start date to the end date inclusive, followed by a Totals row. Use the list under the table to show 10, 25, 50 or 100 rows per page. The Totals row is the last row of the table, so on a long report it is on the last page.
To save the report, click Export Data, then Export as CSV or Export as PDF.
| Column | What it counts for that day |
|---|---|
| Date | The day. |
| New Activations | Customers whose first activation was that day. A customer is only ever counted here once, the first time they are set Active. Archived customers are not counted. |
| Re-Activations | Customers who were returned to Active or Delinquent after being disconnected. See How re-activations are counted. |
| Installs Set | Customers who had a job created that day. Despite the name, jobs of every type are counted, not only installs. |
| New Internet Sold | Of the customers counted in Installs Set, how many have a Monthly Internet service on their account. |
| Status Disconnects | Customers who had a service disconnect recorded that day. See How disconnects are counted. |
| Installs | Install jobs whose start time is that day. |
| Successful and Failed after Installs | Install jobs completed that day, split by whether they were completed as successful or failed. |
| Service Calls, Successful, Failed | The same three counts for service jobs. |
| Disconnects, Successful, Failed | The same three counts for disconnect jobs. These are jobs, not status changes. |
| Others, Successful, Failed | The same three counts for jobs of type Other. |
| Jobs Rescheduled | Jobs completed as failed that day that were rescheduled. |
When you change a customer from Active or Delinquent to any other status on the Change Account Status page, Powercode asks Disconnect customer's service?
A disconnect is also recorded when a scheduled status change moves a customer from Active or Delinquent to another status.
Each customer is counted at most once per day, even if more than one disconnect was recorded for them that day.
Powercode records a Re-Activation entry in the customer's event log when both of these are true:
In practice, each disconnect can produce one re-activation: the first time the customer goes back to Active or Delinquent after it. Moving the customer between Active and Delinquent after that does not count again until they are disconnected again. Returning a disconnected customer to Delinquent counts, because Delinquent customers are billed again.
The check runs wherever Powercode changes a customer's status in the usual way, for example on the Change Account Status page, when a completed job sets the customer Active, and when a scheduled status change runs.
The Re-Activations column counts each customer at most once per day. Powercode has written Re-Activation entries to the customer event log for many versions, so the column also shows re-activations for date ranges before this build.
| Symptom | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| A customer you returned to Active is not in Re-Activations | No disconnect was recorded for them: No was chosen at Disconnect customer's service?, they were set Not Active by completing a job, or their status was changed through the API. Look for a Service Disconnect entry in their event log. |
| A customer you disconnected is not in Status Disconnects | Same as above: no Service Disconnect entry was recorded. |
| A customer's re-activation is on the day they went to Delinquent, not the day they went Active | Returning to Delinquent counts. The re-activation is recorded on the first change to Active or Delinquent after the disconnect. |
| Job counts are lower than expected | Your user is in a technician group, so only that group's jobs are counted. |
| The Export Data button is missing | You do not have the Export Report Data permission. |
| The Sales and Disconnects tile is missing | You do not have the Sales and Disconnects permission. |
